In 2009, GSP Battery Korea Inc. was founded with a vision of “Building a better future through sustainable
energy technologies.”
At that time, the global market was still heavily dependent on lead-acid batteries,
but GSP took an early step by recognizing Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) as the next-generation power
source.
From the very beginning, the company focused on the unique advantages of LiFePO4—safety, long cycle life,
and eco-friendliness— and committed itself to developing energy storage systems (ESS), mobility power solutions,
solar applications, and advanced charging/discharging technologies.
In its early years, GSP prioritized cell performance testing, safety validation, and optimization of charge/
discharge efficiency.
At the same time, it established a dedicated R&D organization and forged global technical partnerships, laying
the groundwork for future international expansion.
The foundation of GSP Battery Korea was not merely the start of another battery manufacturer,
but the beginning of a long journey to become a true innovator in the energy industry.
